Fashion journalist Veerle Windels has worked in the fashion world for years and now knows it inside out. Because of her job she has traveled a lot and seen a lot of the world. To her, being curious is looking for what essence is.
Promising new designers are already making their mark in Paris and Milan, and Ludion publis hing house has taken the opportunity of the Antwerp fashion show “Mode 2001” to focus on ten of these new trendsetters.
The book covers the following fashion designers: Xavier Delcour, Jurgi Persoons, Bernard Willhelm, Wim Neels, Angelo Figus, A. F. Vandevorst, Raf Simons, Jose Enrique Ona Selfa, Olivier Theyskens, and Veronique Branquinho. For each designer there is a short biography written in the form of a story, accompanied by pictures of their work. Photography by Etienne Tordoir.
